DO MORE GOOD THIS CHRISTMAS
Melburnians can help feed the homeless simply by having their work Christmas party at a social enterprise venue throughout December.
Lentil as Anything is encouraging people to do more good this Christmas by choosing to shop or eat out at social enterprises that support initiatives aimed at tackling a wide range of social issues and disadvantage, both locally and overseas.
Through the inaugural Good Xmas Trail, office workers and business professionals can make their Christmas party budget go a lot further by supporting responsible businesses whose profits tackle issues like homelessness, food waste, or developing world causes.
“Whether it’s supporting local community kitchens tackling food waste; grabbing their daily coffee from outlets that help the homeless; or enjoying a few drinks in the knowledge that you’re making a difference in the developing world, it doesn’t take much to do some good while having a good time,”
Good Xmas Trail, founder Clifford Moss said.
“We want Christmas party planners to consider a 'good’ alternative over simply visiting their usual cafe or lunch spot for their planned Christmas celebrations with their staff. “As well as encouraging people to visit one or more social enterprises, we hope they will also be moved to do more good by buying a socially responsible gift”
