Abbotsford Edible Garden

Located within the stunning grounds of the Abbotsford Convent, the Abbotsford Edible Garden looks out onto the Collingwood Children’s Farm and the picturesque Yarra river.

With a plethora of herbs including rosemary, thyme, sage, fennel, parsley, mint, basil and coriander, plus a range of vegetables and fruit, all our organic produce is walked straight over the hill to the Lentil kitchen and used in our nutritious dishes.

Open to volunteers on Monday, Wednesday and Friday - hopeful horticulturalists can find gardener Jonathon tending to the plants and give him a hand between the hours of 1pm to 5pm.

Email Jonathon at conventgarden@lentilasanything.com to get involved.

Preston Garden Collective

Three years ago, a dry, grassy patch by Bell train station was developed into an urban wonderland by the team at Lentil.

Auspiced from Vic Rail, the land now houses a vegetable garden, yoga tent, pizza oven, open air kitchen, chicken pen, compost heap, as well as an abundance of green space for many other ventures.

Taking the compost from The Inconvenience Store and providing fresh kale, lettuce, parsley, carrots and cherry tomatoes to Lentil Thornbury, Preston Garden Collective is open to volunteers on Sundays who would like to share their skills and be part of the journey.

Email Greg at PrestonGardenCollective@gmail.com to get involved.
